Our approach to solving client problems often involves multiple variables. Since the beginning of our company, we have needed a powerful project management tool. We looked at a variety of tools, including some more popular options, as well as more expensive ones. All of them failed to provide the features we required. Time tracking was a frequent issue because most project management apps don’t offer a native solution. We had to try different apps, each of which had limitations in assigning time to project tasks. Most of our clients use an hourly billing system. This means that accurate time tracking and billing is crucial. It’s one of ActiveCollab’s best features. It allows us to track time and assign tasks. We can even choose between billable or non-billable activities. We have templates for typical client projects so that it is easy to start a new assignment. The template stores all the typical tasks, and the project manager can delete those that don’t fit the case. ActiveCollab was a refreshing change after having used other project management software. All the information you need is right there. You don’t have to train new recruits how to use it, as it’s so intuitive.
ActiveCollab has made a significant improvement in our project management. It is used for client projects, internal activities, as well as tracking the OKRs. It is easy to use and everything is in one place. In the past, it was surprisingly hard to get the team to track their activities because our tools were just so clunky.ActiveCollab’s time tracking feature allows us to record billable hours and easily invoice clients. We can also see which projects are on track for going over budget when we use project-based billing. This spring, we are exploring the possibility of exporting hours tracked into our clients’ marketing dashboards.
