Windows Live allows online storage
As part of Microsoft’s software plus services business model, the Redmond Company hopes to supply software that is used for everyday computing and media requirements; they also wish to continue data services for supporting those needs.
Microsoft added Windows Live folder and Windows Live Photos into the Windows Live setup. The new Windows Live folder lets users store data online with an online storage space of 500Mb, which allows easy sharing of documents and other data with users. The company currently plans to monitor usage and may increase the storage capacity per users.
One cannot help but notice that Microsoft hopes to allow users with the capabilities to manage online documents and information, especially as backups. The Windows Live photo gallery on the other hand is a complete revamp of the current photo sharing applications, which is included in Windows Vista and Windows XP. This application allows users to share photos using Windows Live Spaces.
Microsoft has only managed to release the beta versions for Live photos and Live Folders. The Live Photos feature has been made available in U.S., China, Germany, UK, India, Japan, France and Spain. The Windows Live folders feature however has been released in the U.S only.
Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Windows Live Experience Program Management, Chris Jones clams that the Redmond Company integrated the Windows Live services into one single installer and experience, allowing users to enhance their Windows Live experience with all the tools available, right from the Windows Live Platform. In a statement issued recently, he stated, “Soon we’ll begin to offer a single installer which will give customers the option of an all-in-one download for the full Windows Live suite of services instead of the separate installation experience you see today.”
Microsoft hopes to integrate Windows Live services
This is not surprising, as Microsoft is gearing up to compete with online services offered by Google, who have already established themselves as one of the leading providers of basic online productivity applications as well as email services via Gmail and their ever popular search engine Google. As Windows Live expands its services while integrating everything into a single platform, Microsoft could well emerge victorious in the competition. In response, there is speculation that Google is also planning to have online storage services, but have so far not made any official announcements regarding their plans.
Users can know more about the features through the Windows Live help center. Windows Live is already becoming a favorite among many customers and business professionals. If users have any issues with Windows Live, they can check for solutions from the Windows Live help and support team.

Leave a reply Windows Phone 7 update and features
This fall sees the arrival of the new mango Update for Windows Phone 7. Though some of the developer features were already revealed in the month of April, Redmond recently announced some of the new improvements and features it will add to the Mango update. Here are some of the top features that will be added in the new Windows Phone 7 through the impending update:
Facebook Chat: For those who like to chat with your friends on the Facebook social networking site, Windows Phone 7 will have Facebook chat built and integrated into the Windows Phone 7. This feature was announced this week by Windows Dev Podcast. This is in addition to Windows Live chat support, allowing online chatting on various platforms.
Auto Sync and Xbox Live: though Microsoft did not reveal much about the implications of this feature, in the Dev Podcast a screenshot displayed an on/off toggle for connecting to Xbox Live, as well as an automatic Sync button for games.
Music Hearting: The new Windows Phone 7 will have a Zune Like/dislike rating system for Hearting and Broken hearting songs. There will also be a collection of DJ mixes included.
Pin your Email Folders: You can pin email folders just like you can pin any page of applications to the homescreen grid. This lets you access your emails faster, and directly from the homescreen.
Have threaded email Conversations: the new Windows Phone enables users to sort through their mail faster by grouping similar email conversations together. Seems like Microsoft has picked up this feature from Gmail, which has been doing the same thing.
Email server search: One of the drawbacks of the current phones was the lack of email server search, which allowed you to search only through the 10 or 15 mails that were stored in the Phone. The new Email server search allows you to check through all your mails.
SkyDrive support and Office 365: in the new mango update, users can share and save documents through MS Office 365 and Windows Live SkyDrive, allowing you to access the cloud storage service.Microsoft reveals features of new Windows Phone 7
Lync: Users can access the Lync Mobile services, now available in Windows Phone 7.
Group your contacts: Windows Phone 7 lets users group phone contacts together.
The new Windows Phone 7 has complex password support as well as support for hidden corporate Wi-Fi networks.
You can also access Windows Live with your windows Phone 7. This will also enable Windows Live chat support. To know more check up on Windows Dev Podcast.

Leave a replyAbout the Windows Phone 8 OS
The Windows Phones normally come with a set of capacitive buttons that perform a number of functions. However, most of the smart phone users find these buttons to be redundant. They are happy to use the touch screen buttons and they would much like to get rid of these buttons, thereby increasing the screen size.
Microsoft considering using virtual buttons instead of capacitive ones
In fact, it is reported that Microsoft is considering switching from the capacitive buttons to virtual buttons. This news has prompted many calls to the Windows support number from curious customers. The cell phone manufacturers would especially welcome such news, as this would allow them to use the same hardware for Android as well as Windows Phone smart phones.
Most of the enquiries to the Windows support number where about the Windows 8.1 OS phone. It is even possible that from Windows 8.1 Phone OS onwards, Microsoft would get rid of capacitive buttons. Instead, these same buttons would be virtually added to the OS interface screen.
Why Microsoft needs to do this
It is clear why Microsoft wants to replace the capacitive buttons with virtual buttons. The Android phones have already made the switch. The customers get maximum screen size as a result. If any of these Android users want to switch to Windows 8, he would not able to do so, as the device does not meet the hardware requirements lacking the capacitive buttons required to operate Windows Phone 8.
Contact Windows Support
Another, inconvenience that many customers find while using the Windows 8 OS is using the capacitive buttons with the rotated screen. When changing your screen to the landscape mode, you end up with the buttons on the left or the right of the screen. This is very inconvenient to many users. The ideal location for these buttons is always at the bottom of the screen, no matter which mode you are using it in – landscape or portrait.
These are some of the minor tweaks which Microsoft is experimenting with to improve the sales of the Windows Phones 8 OS. However, they are not likely to make any changes to the sales figures.
The key difference between the Android OS and Windows 8 is that Google Android is a freeware. Microsoft would have to make some big changes to the OS, if they want to compete with that. Contact the Windows support number for more details.

Leave a reply Features Of Windows 8
This year, we all saw the release of the Windows 8 successor, Windows 8.1. You might be wondering why Microsoft was so eager to release another operating system just one year after the release of Windows 8. The reason is quite simple. Microsoft released Windows 8.1, as majority of Windows 8 users were disappointed with the operating system and wanted many changes in it. It did not have a Start button and had major flaws in the design. The Windows 8 versions available for purchase were Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro. Similarly, we have two versions of Windows 8.1 in the market, which are Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Pro.
Windows 8 versions came with a price tag of $119.99 and $199.99 and the two versions of Windows 8.1 have a similar price tag. Windows 8.1 is designed for home users, while Windows 8.1 Pro for professionals who require higher operating capabilities with their machines. Some of the major changes in Windows 8.1 include the return of the Start button and simpler navigation techniques. However, a few users are still disappointed, as the Start button does not take them to the Start menu.
Windows 8 Operating System
Users of Windows 8 versions are allowed to make free upgrade to Windows 8.1. Now, as per the latest reports, Microsoft does not seem to stop the major updates for the operating system and we might see Windows 8.1 update 1 by next year, which is code-named as ‘Threshold’. The new updates will cover devices like Xbox, Windows Phone and Windows RT. It is also hoped that with ‘Threshold’, you might see the Start menu back on the operating system.
If the experts guessed it right, the second quarter of 2014 will see Windows RT 8.1.1 and mobile operating system Windows 8.1 with high API unity. With this, a Smartphone running on Windows Phone operating system and a Windows RT device will have the functions to share apps between them, by bringing together Windows Phone Store and Windows Store apps.
With the new updates getting ready in the background, it is advised that users of Windows 8 versions make updates to Windows 8.1 so that you can make use of these updates when they are released. However, keep in mind that there is still no official word from Microsoft on the updates. Therefore, you may not get more information on these updates from Microsoft chat support or other official sources.

Leave a reply Support number
Many of the computer users have heard of the software named Windows Movie Maker and many of you may have used it already too. This article will help you to know more about the Windows Movie Maker program. You may also contact the Windows support number for further help.
Instructions
In the Movie Maker program, the term collection means a set of audio, video and pictures that you have captured or captured using the software. The collection will organize the content of the movie. A project is the arrangement and timing of the clips, transitions and any effects you add to the main storyboard. The saved projects can be opened and edited later. A movie is the final project. You may save the movie to the hard disk of your computer or a recordable CD. You can also send the movie as an email attachment or save and send it over the Internet.
You can shoot movies with your video camera and then load these movies to your computer with the FireWire or i.LINK cable. If you are using an i.LINK cable, the Movie Maker program will do the job of rewinding the video tape and moving it to your PC. If you do not have a FireWire port in your PC, you may consider adding a new port.
You can add transitions, titles, credits, special effects, photos, movies and narrations to your video by clicking on the particular section of the movie that you wish to change, in the timeline mode or the storyboard mode. In the Movie Tasks pane that is located on the left side of the window, click on the task that you would like to do and enter the information (for credits and titles), choose special effect or import audio, music or photo files that are saved in your computer. Windows support
You can work with different video clips to create a long movie. Movie Maker will split the longer videos into shorter clips while they are transferred from the video camera and then add these clips into a collection. You can also drag clips from the collection to the storyboard to make a movie. You may also trim the video clips by dragging a clip from the collection to the storyboard and then clicking on the play button in the preview monitor. When the clip reaches the area where you would like to trim, click on Split Clip.
These are some of the tips to use the Windows Movie Maker program. If you have any further queries, you may contact the Windows support number. You will get connected to a tech support executive while contacting the Windows support number and all relevant queries will be answered.

Leave a reply Windows Live Support Options
Windows Live Mail allows you to do pretty much the same things you can do making use of Outlook. It is quite easy to set up Windows Live Mail using your email address.
Click on “Windows Live Mail.” When it opens for the first time, you will see a “Windows Live Mail” Dialog box. It will have the title “Add your email accounts.” The following information has to be entered according to the Windows live support team.
Incoming server information to be entered
Email Address
You have to use this email address with Windows Live Mail. Let us suppose that you have a Gmail account, then you have to enter the entire Gmail account address.
Password
This same password has to be used for signing into the email account. See to it that you check the “Remember this password” check box. Else, the password will have to be entered each time Windows Live Mail retrieves the email.
Display name for your sent messages
You have to specify a name that you want to seedisplayed in the receiver’s email each time you sign in. In most mail client software, you will see a person’s name rather than an email address.
Upon reaching this point, you have to click “Next” and allow Windows Live Mail to try and set it up for you. You have to click the check box that tells you to “Manually configure server settings.”That is the requisite information for the email provider and includes the following.
Incoming server type
The selection “POP” has to be used. Some service providers need an “IMAP” server type. In order to ensure that, visit the service provider’s website and look for Outlook server settings or Windows Live Mail. The same information has to be entered for both programs.
Server address
This happens to be the incoming server address for the service provider. In case you do not know what that is, you have to visit the service provider’s support section or just make a call to them. Ensure that you check that box if you need a secure connection.
Windows Live Support Function
Port
This refers to the port that the client will attempt to connect to. This is usually 110 unless you need a secure connection. If so, the port might be 995. Should you come across errors, check that with the service provider.
Authentication using
As far as possible, you will be required to use the Secure Password Authentication.
That will be all the Windows Live Support that you need for using Windows Live Mail. Contact our tech support center for any further assistance.
